The Silva Trail Runner Free Ultra is very light 55 grams without battery and 141 grams with. Everything is very compact, the headband is comfortable and the whole thing is well balanced. The battery can be put directly on the headband or in a pocket thanks to the extension cord.
This lamp has 2 main technologies, first of all the intelligent lighting which combines 2 projectors, one with a long range and one close up which allows an optimal lighting from near and far. The second technology is the power cord that is directly attached to the headband which avoids problems with bulky cables or tangled wires.
The lamp can deliver 400 lumens of power with a maximum illumination distance of 80 metres and in its minimum mode it can achieve a runtime of 23 hours with a power of 50 lumens and an illumination distance of 20 metres. The 4000 milliampere-hour battery is included and can be recharged via the USB cable. It can also be replaced with AAA batteries.
This model is designed for runners and its capabilities and features are suitable for running needs.
