The opinion of Aventure Nordique
The Oberon 0F/-18C from Thermarest is a sleeping bag offering a comfortable temperature of -10°C. It is lined with a Nikwax Hydrophobic down 800 cuin goose down which absorbs little moisture and stays warm even in humid conditions. It has been designed and engineered to provide warmth and safety during winter bivouacs.
It is differentially padded, 70% on the top and sides and 30% in the back. This zoned insulation maximises warmth and optimises weight by distributing the filling precisely where it is most useful. The insulation of the back is mainly provided by the mattress. In order to stay securely in place and not slip off the mattress, the Oberon 0F/-18C is equipped with SynergyLink connectors. These removable straps allow a mattress to be connected to the sleeping bag.
The Toa Asis footbox is a compartment in the foot area that provides extra insulation to keep the ends warm in a down duvet cocoon. The wrap-around hood has an adjustment strap and a generous collar to block heat loss. There is a protective flap along the zip.
For colder nights, the Oberon 0F/-18C can be coupled with a Thermarest duvet or blanket. For this purpose, it has a fastening loop on the sides.
