Bach Packman 44

The Bach Packman 44 backpack has a special feature: the entire main compartment is lined with a waterproof lining. Access to the main compartment is only possible from the top. The side zipper opening connects to the main volume of the backpack, but not to the waterproof part. This allows you to quickly put away a wet jacket after a rain shower, for example. As the flap is removable, the rucksack can be used without it to make it lighter. A second zip fastener closes the rucksack tightly.

It is designed to be comfortable up to a load of 18 kg. The back frame is equipped with Bach's Shield Pro system. It consists of a mesh and open-pore foam for ventilation and comfort, and a back plate made of HDPE (high density polyethylene). A curved aluminium rail running the full height of the rucksack provides support and rigidity. The shoulder straps and waist belt are made of thick layers of EVA foam.

The fabric used in the design of the Packman 44 is made of Cordura 500D on the parts exposed to friction. This offers a good compromise between good abrasion resistance and lightness. The less exposed parts are made of 420D Cordura, which offers good tensile strength and light weight. This backpack is strong and reliable.

The volume of the Packman 44 backpack consists of :

• One outside pocket on top of the flap with zip closure.


• An inner pocket on the underside of the flap with zip closure.


• A large waterproof main compartment accessible from the top, zipped roll-up closure. A side zipped opening accesses the main non-waterproof volume.


• A front mesh pocket.


• A zipped belt pocket


• An internal compartment for the water pocket, zipped closure.
