Savotta Hawu 4

Savotta's Hawu 4 is a modular camping tent, developed in Finland to cope with Nordic conditions. In the design, this tent is intended to be heated with a wood stove. The Hawu is designed for four-season conditions and is tailored for use up to the tree line. Moreover, it can also be set up around a tree trunk. It is an original, sturdy tent, designed to immerse, stay safe and comfortable in nature. Only Finns can consider this type of shelter!

Hawu is an own brand that has been developing shelters since 1993 but has signed a partnership with Savotta who is in charge of manufacturing.

Design : modular structure
The Hawu 4 is a multi-purpose tent consisting of several elements that are attached to each other with zippers. Each component is an option to expand the shelter. The design and finishes are well thought out. When the elements are assembled, a storm flap protects the zippers for optimal protection.

Wall Piece: this is an element (half of the tent) that can be erected alone (in rental mode) with a telescopic pole for example (sold separately).
Wall Piece + Door Piece: the Wall Piece can be installed in addition to the Door Piece, forming a complete tent.
Extension: This central part is attached between the Wall Piece and the Door Piece to increase the capacity of the Hawu.
Each component can be used independently. This is an advantage in terms of versatility, but it also means that the weight can be distributed among several carriers.

The connections between the different parts of the tent are designed so that you can quickly get out of the shelter (emergency exit) if necessary: the zips are not lockable.

Assembly: 3 possibilities for the complete Hawu
The Hawu can be mounted in 3 different ways:

With a center mast
Around a tree and functions as a central mast
Suspended from two trees by means of straps at the top of the shelter
With all the components, the Savotta Hawu 4 is a tent for up to 6 people.

The Door Room includes a specific door (you go down into the tent, no need to crawl) and a suspended fabric system that keeps the warmth inside the shelter. The Door Piece also has a wood stovepipe outlet.

The Hawu is compatible with a wood stove, effectively warming the tent and removing moisture. With the wood stove (sold separately) you can dry your clothes and protect yourself from the cold.
