The Hilleberg Saivo 3 is the expedition tent par excellence. It is often used by those who travel to the South Pole. This 4-season tent can accommodate 3 people and is designed to cope with the worst conditions: strong winds, snowstorms... during polar expeditions or high altitude expeditions. Its geodesic shape makes it very efficient for windy destinations. It can be left at a base camp unattended, without fear that it will not be there when it returns.
The exterior fabric of the Saivo 3 is Kerlon 1800. A lightweight, tear-resistant fabric made of Ripstop nylon siliconized on both sides. This fabric offers a perfect waterproofness of a water column of 5000 mm. The four 10 mm diameter hoops are made of DAC Featherlite NSL aluminium. When erected, they cross each other at 5 points to ensure an exceptional hold of the tent.
The interior space is comfortable and spacious. The Saivo 3 has 2 apses, a main one at the front at the door and a secondary one at the back for equipment storage. The apses can be fully opened for easy access. The ventilation system consists of openings at the front and rear of the tent, as well as at the ceiling, which can be easily operated from inside the tent.
Setting up the Saivo 3 is simple, even in windy conditions. Both canopies are pre-assembled for quick set up.
