The opinion of Aventure Nordique
Deuter's Micro Star is a two-part sleeping bag for toddlers. The inner and outer parts can be used independently, depending on the amount of warmth required.
The outer sleeping bag is sturdy and water-repellent, making it ideal for lying down even in wet grass. The inner sleeping bag provides a boost of warmth. Both feature a two-way zipper for ease of use. They are machine-washable and can be cleaned regularly.
The Micro Star sleeping bag features a synthetic High-Loft Hollowfiber filling. Unlike goose or duck down, the synthetic filling is non-allergenic, robust and moisture-resistant. Thanks to the plush structure, the inner part is cozy and keeps the child warm. When it's cold, the sleeve ends can be folded down.
One of its strengths is that it is designed with a zippered extension at foot level that extends the length of the sleeping bag by 30 cm.

Additional information | The European standard EN13537 which allows to evaluate the comfort temperature of a sleeping bag, is not valid for children's models. Being more sensitive to cold, it is normal that the sleeping bag has a greater insulation than an adult model, for the same recommended temperature of use. This takes into account that the child must have pyjamas and it can vary according to his age/corpulence/sensitivity. Be careful and always allow for a safety margin. Deuter does not communicate a temperature for its sleeping bags. In our experience, you can use up to about 10°C. |
