The opinion of Aventure Nordique

The Arctic 3 Polar from Norwegian brand Barents Outdoor is a three-person tent designed for year-round use. Comfortable, spacious and durable, it is ideal for long skiing expeditions.

This tent has two vestibules, a main one measuring 170 cm long for storing equipment, and another measuring 85 cm, large enough for cooking. The small vestibule has two doors and the large one has the main door. This means that there is always a side sheltered from the wind. The large door is modular and can be opened completely to enjoy the view and the Northern Lights. The main door is fitted with a mosquito net.

The four 11-millimetre diameter Yunan pressfit aluminium poles are identical, making assembly easy. The tent is quick and easy to set up, and can even be done with gloves on thanks to a pole locking system developed by Barents. The inner and outer fabrics can remain attached to each other for simultaneous assembly.

The tent has been designed for winter use: aerodynamic shape, snow skirt, numerous guy ropes, space between the outer canvas and the inner chamber, ventilation, space large enough to accommodate large mattresses and extreme cold sleeping bags.

Air circulation is provided by four vents (two at the top and two at the sides) to reduce internal condensation.
