Barents Stetind 2 Ultralight

The Stetind 2 Ultralight from Norwegian brand Barents is a two-person tent designed for three-season use. It has two side entrances and two vestibules and weighs 2,550 grams.

Unlike most dome tents, it does not have two poles that cross in an X shape, but two parallel side poles and another that runs perpendicular to them. This technique allows for greater height. The room measures between 95 and 115 centimetres in height.

The tent is easy to set up. The bedroom is attached to the roof, but once the tent is pitched, the inner canvas can be stretched to increase the interior space.

The Stetind is stable in windy conditions thanks to its numerous anchor points (18 pegs and numerous guy ropes). The pole sleeves reduce wind noise. With two doors, there is always a sheltered side.

The choice of materials, with a 15-denier siliconised ripstop nylon roof resistant to a water column of 3,000 millimetres and a 40-denier groundsheet resistant to 5,000 millimetres. As always with Barents, the finishes are meticulous. There are two pockets in the bedroom.

The bedroom has a mosquito net, the option to raise the flysheet and two large ventilation openings, providing adequate ventilation for the tent and thus reducing condensation.
