Black Diamond Absolute Mitts

The Absolute Mitts are the mittens with the best warmth-to-weight ratio in Black Diamond's Mitts range. With an operating temperature between -26°C and -34°C, depending on the intensity of the activity, these mittens are an essential accessory for winter expeditions in extreme cold. They consist of a three-finger over-mitt and a three-finger under-mitt, with a total weight of 424 grams.

The over-mittens are made of Pertex Quantum with a Gore-Tex membrane that makes them 100% waterproof, yet breathable. The fingers, thumb and palm are reinforced with goatskin leather to limit abrasion when handling strings, for example. The insulating lining is made of 200 gram Kodenshi Primaloft on the palm and 340 gram Kodenshi Primaloft on the back. They feature a tightening strap at the wrists, a drawstring at the entrance and an anti-loss strap.

The three-finger under-slippers are made of soft stretch fabric on the outside and Hi-Loft fleece on the inside, to ensure insulation. A Velcro strap on the cuffs keeps them in place when tucked into the over-slippers.
