Devold Expedition Arctic Pro Balaclava

The Expedition Arctic Pro Balaclava from Norwegian brand Devold is designed for extreme weather conditions. Very thick, it covers the entire face and has small holes over the mouth and nose to facilitate breathing.

Made from 100% merino wool (310 g/m²) with a fibre fineness of 20.5 microns on the inside and 95% merino wool and 5% silk with a fibre fineness of 17.5 microns on the outside, this balaclava is particularly warm yet highly breathable. Thanks to its thermal insulation and the fact that moisture is quickly wicked away, it is perfectly suited to sporting activities in very cold conditions or for expeditions.

Merino wool has many properties. In addition to being thermoregulatory and breathable, it is antibacterial, so it does not retain odours. This means you can wear your merino wool clothing and accessories several times without washing them: simply dry and air them.

The Devold Expedition Arctic Pro Balaclava also has flat seams to prevent uncomfortable rubbing and an elasticated edge around the opening to fit all face shapes. At the neck, the shape is flared at the bottom to cover you well and prevent cold air from entering.
