Black Diamond Storm 500-R

The 500-R is one of the most complete headlamps in Black Diamond's range. The 92-gram case (including batteries) is packed with advanced technologies. This lamp will appeal to hikers, climbers, photographers who want to switch from one activity to another easily while keeping the same equipment for a very small weight and size. It runs on a built-in rechargeable battery, which charges directly on the headlamp through the micro-USB charging port. It has a 3 LED battery meter on the right side so you can get a better forecast of your power consumption.

The designers show a maximum intensity of 500 Lumens for 7 hours (lighting on 120 meters). When the batteries are full, it will be possible to light 12 meters for about 350 hours. This considerable autonomy will please the minimalist trekkers who do not wish to be encumbered with additional external batteries.

This lamp is equipped with a gradual dimmer, an instant full power button and a flashing mode. With the intensity memory, you will be able to turn the unit on and off while keeping your setting.

The 500-R can be used to store your gear at your bivouac site without dazzling your neighbors, or to scan a climbing route over a long distance with the proximity or long range modes. The device is equipped with RGB LEDs that allow you to be more discreet at night thanks to red light in particular or to highlight certain colors during the night. To read a map for example, the green light will allow you to highlight more the contour lines.

This lamp was designed to be immersed in water to a maximum depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes. It is therefore very waterproof and dustproof.
