The map of the central highlands is a new addition to Mál og Menning’s series of general maps, with the emphasis on the central highlands, mountain routes and features. The map has been developed in collaboration with the 4x4 Travel Club of Iceland, which has contributed tracks with GPS readings, and locations of fords and cabins.

The maps includes GPS locations of the principal crossroads in the central highlands, and on the reverse are descriptions and colour illustrations of the natural attractions, together with a detailed list of cabins.
