The Nobo Bottle from American brand Igneous is a rigid, slim and lightweight bottle that slips easily into a side pocket of a rucksack. It is designed to replace the disposable bottles often used on long-distance hikes.
The Nobo Bottle is made from ultra-stable HDPE (high-density polyethylene) that resists microplastic loss and slows bacterial growth. It can be boiled for disinfection in the field or to restore it to shape after intensive use. It can also be used as a hot water bottle or light diffuser by attaching a headlamp to it.
The bottle has millilitre and ounce markings and a capacity of 1 litre. Weighing just 65 grams, it offers excellent capacity-to-weight ratio. Its narrow 28-millimetre neck is compatible with a wide range of water filters on the market, including Sawyer, Lifestraw, Hydroblu and Platypus.
