The Otul Beta 400 is the result of collaboration between two Polish brands, Lesovik specializing in hammocks and Małachowski specializing in down sleeping bags.
It's an underquilt, which is placed under the hammock to provide an insulating layer. It wraps around the sides and bottom of the hammock to trap the air your body has heated in your sleeping bag or quilt. So you can enjoy a comfortable night's sleep, even in cool weather. The Otul Beta 400 is designed for 3-season use, for temperatures from 8 to -8°C.
The special feature of the Otul Beta is the partitioning of the chambers, reminiscent of a letter B. When the hammock is wrapped, the two “bellies” of the letter B, hanging towards the hammock, come together, sealing the entire structure. Tests have shown better insulation than H-type cells for the same amount of down. The central chambers offer greater volume, allowing the down to expand further and improving the level of insulation. It's filled with high-quality 800 cuin Polish goose down, combined with an ultra-light 32 g/m² water-repellent Toray Airtastic shell.
It's easy to install under any hammock and can be used as a camping blanket. Unfolded, the rectangular comforter measures 215 x 120 centimetres. Tightening cords to keep out the cold air.
