The CamJam Cord Tightener – 2 pack with 8 ft. is a set of two cord tighteners and a 2.4-metre-long cord. The two tighteners allow you to secure or tighten light objects without tying knots. The CamJam has a carabiner end and a cam mechanism end. It can therefore be used in two different ways: either as a loop without a fixed point, or from a fixed anchor point.

When using without a fixed point (to gather equipment, brushwood, pack light loads in a wheelbarrow, on a luggage rack, etc.), you must make a loop at the end of your rope and pass it through the carabiner part of the Camjam, then connect the elements together and pass the other end of the rope through the cam mechanism and pull until it is sufficiently taut.

When using with a fixed anchor point (to stretch a tarpaulin, pitch a tent, hang your food bag away from bears, etc.), pass the carabiner through the eyelet on the tarpaulin, loop the rope around a branch and then through the cam mechanism, and pull until you achieve the correct tension.

In both cases, the rope can be released with a simple movement of the thumb.
