The Lake by Orientsport is a plate compass designed to make it easier to take bearings and align with a map. Its 360° rotating capsule, graduated in 2° increments, allows you to take or follow a bearing with precision. The built-in magnifying glass helps you better see map details: contour lines, depressions, trails, vegetation boundaries, or elevation.
We appreciate the stability and consistency of the needle, which is suspended in an oil bath. Its precision means you have fewer doubts about which direction to take. The square-shaped magnifying glass is a real plus, as are the graduations for calculating distances to be covered.
The yellow color is a plus for better visibility.
