The Polaris Optifuel from Swedish company Optimus is a multi-fuel stove. It can operate with a threaded gas cylinder (EN417 standard, type Optimus, MSR, Primus...) or with liquid fuel. It is compatible with white gas, gasoline, kerosene, diesel or kerosene. Durable and reliable, it's perfect for expeditions.
On long journeys, you're bound to find a source of energy for your stove. The ability to switch between gas and liquid fuel means you can switch from one to the other depending on weather conditions, altitude and supply.
Equipped with the Nova burner, the Optimus Polaris generates 14340 BTU, or 4200 Watts, enough to bring 1 liter of water to the boil in 3.4 minutes (with gasoline) and 4 minutes with a gas cartridge (11267 BTU / 3300 Watts). A flame adjustment tap on the burner and a tap on the fuel bottle make setting up easy.
The Polaris is very easy to use:
