Arva Explore 40

The Explore 40 from French brand Arva is a 40-liter backpack. Ideal for mountain trips and weekends spent overnight in a refuge. This well-designed bag is perfectly suited for off-trail winter use, but can accompany you in all seasons. Made from recycled polyamide, it is durable.

The bags in the Explore range are equipped with numerous features:

• A practical U-shaped closure around the main compartment allows you to access the contents of the bag at a glance.


• Quick access to a separate compartment at the base of the bag without having to remove it. If you need more space, the removable divider can be taken out. Handy for crampons, climbing skins, gloves, etc.


• A pocket on the left shoulder strap of the bag can hold a 500 ml flask.


• Hip belt with two pockets and an adjustable chest strap, with whistle.


• Ice axe and/or pole holder.


• Two systems for attaching skis: a quick diagonal system that does not require the skis to be removed and a side system with straps. Option to attach a snowboard, splitboard, or snowshoes.


• A front pocket for quick access to safety equipment with space for a shovel and probe.


• A padded, secure pocket for goggles or small equipment.


• An inside pocket in the flap for keys, phone, etc.


• A passage for a water bladder.


• An integrated helmet holder.

Carrying comfort is not overlooked, with a ventilated back, load adjusters, and thick foam padding. Note that this backpack is compatible with a 15" laptop.
