The opinion of Aventure Nordique
Ranger skis are Nordic Backcountry skis manufactured in the Sporten factory in the Czech Republic. They are an excellent choice for touring skiers wishing to learn Nordic Backcountry skiing. These skis offer unbeatable value for money and durability.
The sidecut and tip width (68mm) make them ideal for serious off-track skiing. However, these skis can also be used on groomed runs.
Technically speaking, these skis are made from a wood core. They are equipped with scales (65 cm on a 160 cm ski) and metal edges running the full length of the skis. The scales ensure good grip.

Very good in deep snow.I like it very much.
These skis glide great and set track well in deeper snow. However I find they do not have a good grip uphill climbing. I notice the fish scale design is different from my other skis which are the rossignol bc 65, which 8 don’t have issues uphill climbing. I am using a grip wax when I know I’ll be needing to climb uphill, even on a slight grade.
