Sierra Designs' Meteor Lite 3 is a lighter version of the legendary Meteor. It can accommodate three people and weighs a paltry 1.89 kg. This lighter weight allows it to be used by only two people, for those who are looking for a little space in their tent. Its structure, composed of two main poles and a ceiling light, offers a large volume. For two people, it is a real cathedral.
It is designed with lighter and improved materials to save weight. Its entirely mesh chamber promotes ventilation and thus limits condensation, which can be very present when three people sleep in a tent. The Meteo Lite 3 is suitable for summer hiking. Its oversized doors allow easy access. Two internal mesh pockets are located at head level.
In good weather and to enjoy the sky, the front and back of the flysheet can be rolled up to enjoy the panorama and the stars. This also optimizes ventilation when it is really hot. On top of the tent there is also an opening to ventilate the tent when it is possible.
Setting up the Meteor Lite 3 is simple and classic. Simply hook the chamber onto the poles and then put the flysheet over it. Then all that's left to do is to plant the sardines.
