Cocoon's Hooded Vapor Barrier Liner is a sheet that protects your sleeping bag from the moisture produced by your body during the night. Condensation can build up and the sleeping bag loses its thermal properties and the down liner loses its loft. To avoid this kind of problem on a long-distance expedition in extremely cold conditions, it is advisable to use a steam-trapping inner bag. You will also gain a few degrees. For more comfort, it is recommended to wear long clothes to avoid direct contact with the skin, or to wear a sheet.

The Hooded Vapor Barrier Liner has a hood with drawstring. It is made of ripstop nylon with taped seams. The storage bag is sewn directly onto the liner, so there's no need to look for it in the morning!

In case of extreme emergency, the Hooded Vapor Barrier Liner can be used as a bivy. It can also be used as an occasional overbag thanks to its waterproofing.
