The X-Trace Pivot 2.0 is the new generation of X-Trace universal bindings. They are designed for all types of hiking boots and warm boots. These "free heel" bindings can be used for Nordic Backcountry skis, ski-wheeling and ice skating.
The advantage of these bindings is that they accept all types of hiking and trekking boots. There is no need to have a pair of boots for summer and a pair of skis for winter!
The X-Trace Pivot 2.0 binding is made of a soft plastic plate that can be adjusted for shoe sizes ranging from 35 to 47.5 (MondoPoint sole 22 and 31 cm). No tools are required for adjustment.
The stop on the front of the binding holds the foot. The shoe is held in place by two buckles: one located at the toe and the other at the bend of the foot. The tightening is easily adjustable because the ratchet buckles are notched.
The X-Trace Pivot 2.0 bindings can be installed on all types of Nordic Backcountry skis for use on easy terrain. These bindings are perfect for Nordic Backcountry or mixed use of skis and snowshoes. Many expeditions use them on flat terrain, like ice floes.
