The Sierra Designs Backcountry Bed 20 Duo is a 2 person sleeping bag with duck down insulation. It is rectangular in shape and has a duvet, which is very comfortable and flexible. The duvet offers a great deal of freedom of movement, as well as the possibility of covering up or uncovering oneself quickly during the night. The foot section has a ventilation flap, which is particularly useful during the hottest nights.
Its large size is also a plus for those who don't like to be cramped at night. The sleeping bag has no zip and the duvet fits behind the shoulders.
The Backcountry Bed 20 Duo has a fabric sleeve on the back to insert a mattress. This prevents the mattress from slipping on the floor during sleep and optimises the thermal performance of the sleeping system. The mattress acts as an insulator in the torso area. The filling is only located at foot level.
The brand only communicates a comfort limit temperature of -6°C, but in our experience, the comfort temperature is around 0°C.
