Åsnes Falketind 62 Xplore

The Falketind 62 Xplore from Åsnes is the perfect ski for Nordic Backcoutry Ski. Its smooth sidecut makes this ski excellent to drive in turns. In size 180 cm, it has a curve radius of 18.7 meters. Its design makes it very easy to drive and offers a lot of fun on the way down.

This ski has a poplar wood core, reinforced with carbon for optimal torsional characteristics. These materials allow for a light weight.

The rocker combined with the traditional camber provides good tip flotation and easy turn initiation in variable snow conditions.

The solid, full-length steel edges offer durability and control in challenging conditions.

The Falketind 62 Xplore has a completely smooth sole for the best possible glide, without noise or restraint (because of the flakes). If you want to use it with an anti-backwards system (replacing the scales), you can equip it with a short Åsnes X-Skin (sold separately) to be attached to the integrated Skinlock system. Once installed, the short skin that covers the support area, allows to avoid sliding backwards, while keeping a good glide. This is the most efficient and essential combination for Nordic touring, i.e. an alternation of ascents, descents, flats...

This ski is also equipped with a notch in the tip to attach a long skin that covers the entire sole for a better retention on the climb.
