Six Moon Designs Minimalist V2 Ultralight

The Minimalist V2 Ultralight from Six Moon Designs is a backpack designed for backpacking in ultralight mode. With its generous volume, it's a featherweight, weighing in at 1150 grams. Its main volume has a capacity of 40 liters + a 9-liter extension. Added to this are external stretch fabric pockets with a total volume of 10 liters.

It's made from Robic nylon. This is a fabric designed specifically for backpacks. It offers an excellent strength-to-weight ratio. The bottom of the backpack has been lined for added strength.

The Minimalist V2 Ultralight backpack is a large-volume backpack with a roll-up top opening/closure.

• On top, a capo closes the backpack, including a zippered pocket and an expandable pocket.


• Inside, there's a removable compartment for a water pouch and two small zipped pockets.


• On the outside, there's a semi-extendable vertical pocket of different heights on the sides and a large extendable gusseted pocket on the front.


• The waistband features two additional pockets.


• There's also an ice-axe holder and a pole holder.

In terms of comfort, it's fitted with a small Delrin Hoop Stay Frame (removable, 85 g) on the inside to ensure a certain amount of back rigidity. The height of the back is adjustable, and the Flight Hip Belt is available in several sizes to suit everyone. Six Moon Designs also offers a choice of straps.

• Fight Shoulder Harness: Classically shaped, lightweight, comfortable backpack straps with 4 suspension points to distribute the load (2 at shoulders, 2 at hips). Includes 2 stretch pockets with drawcord closure (for a 500 ml flask, phone, etc.) and a whistle on the chest strap.


• Fight S-Curve Shoulder Harness: Lightweight, comfortable S-curve backpack straps to clear the chest, with 4 suspension points to distribute the load (2 on shoulders, 2 on hips). Includes 2 stretch pockets with drawcord closure (for a 500 ml flask, phone, etc.) and a whistle on the chest strap.


• Flight Vest Harness: Harness-shaped backpack shoulder straps for greater comfort and better carrying repair, with 6 suspension points (2 at shoulders, 2 at mid-back, 2 at hips). Includes 8 pockets: 2 expandable with drawstring closure (for a 500 ml flask, phone, etc.), 2 small mesh pockets, 2 small expandable zipped pockets, 2 small expandable gusseted pockets and 2 chest straps.
