The Big Agnes Copper Spur UL 3 tent is part of Big Agnes' ultra lightweight range. This shelter weighs only 1,72 Kg. The tent has 2 side apses with 2 large openings. In addition, the doors can be positioned in awning style with two hiking poles. Inside, the room has plenty of storage space: four small pockets, a 3D mezzanine pocket above the feet and a multimedia pocket for carrying the cord of electronic devices.
For hikers who enjoy ultra-light walking, it is still possible to lighten it by using it in "tarp" mode, i.e. by using only the double roof. However, the footprint (additional floor mat sold separately) will have to be used in addition.
The Copper Spur UL 3 is weather resistant (rain, wind) for 3-season use. Ventilation is effective thanks to the vents and mesh fabric located in the inner tent. The flysheet is equipped with high ventilation windows to maximize airflow and thus limit condensation.
The fly and carpet are made of an ultra-light nylon fabric of different deniers, double Ripstop, silicone-treated and with a polyurethane coating that is impermeable to a water column of 1200 mm. All seams are sealed with solvent-free, waterproof polyurethane tape. It is possible to use only the double roof with the floor mat (sold separately), to obtain an even lighter shelter.
