Pure virgin wool has highly antibacterial properties, so even with frequent use, your hat will not give off unpleasant odours. Its fibres are slightly thicker (32-36 microns) than merino wool, which is particularly fine, making it more resistant. Wool has the advantage of staying warm even when wet.
