In this hiking guide, set off to discover a region of varied landscapes linking the southern foothills of the Vercors and Provence. Cliffs and gorges, discreet little valleys, stone villages and mountain pastures, this mid-mountain ‘country’ forms a geographical entity made up of a multitude of landscapes.
The Diois is a valley rich in craft and agricultural know-how. It lies in the centre-east of the Drôme département. It stretches along both sides of the River Drôme, from the south of the Vercors massif to the north of the Drôme Provençale.
