The Peak Series Solo from LifeStraw is an extremely compact and lightweight water filter. At 13 centimetres long, it fits in your hand and weighs just 48 grams. But that doesn't mean its flow rate and filtration capacity are any slimmer. With a flow rate of 3 litres per minute, you can fill a 1-litre flask in just 20 seconds. The 0.2 micron porosity of its hollow-fibre filter membrane eliminates :
- 99.999999% of bacteria (E. coli, Salmonella...)
- 99.999% of parasites (Giardia, Cryptosporidium...)
- 99.999% of suspended particles (microplastics, silt, sand, etc.)
The Peak Series Solo water filter has protective caps at both ends. On the clean water side, a teat makes it easy to drink. The screw thread on the dirty water inlet is 28 mm. It fits standard water bottles on the market, as well as various flexible bottles, such as those from Source or CNOC.
It has a filtration capacity of 2000 litres. To ensure a long service life, the water filter is supplied with a syringe for simple, quick and effective backwashing!
The filter membrane is encased in a robust, non-slip outer shell.
