The Hedmark Winter Force Mitt from Swedish brand LillSport is a robust pair of mittens developed with the Norwegian armed forces. It is designed to withstand winter weather conditions. The upper is made of a durable, water-repellent and breathable textile. The palm is made of flexible goat leather offering good dexterity and durability.
The cuff has a tightening strap at the wrist for a secure fit and an elasticated drawstring at the opening to prevent snow or cold air from entering. A sewn-in strap on the inside of the cuff gives it some rigidity for easier donning. A removable leash prevents the mittens from getting lost.
Inside is a second wool mitt, the Hedmark Wool Mitt. A thick 80% knitted wool lining, very warm, which retains its insulating properties even when wet. It is removable and can be used independently, for example in a bivouac.
