Outdoor Research Helium UL Bivy

The Outdoor Research Helium UL Bivy is a bivy sack made from lightweight, waterproof Pertex Shield Netplus fabric. This membrane protects you from moisture and rain and is breathable.

The advantage of the Helium UL Bivy: it sets up quickly and provides excellent protection. It’s an attractive alternative to a tent or tarp. Setup is quick and easy (1 pole for the hood), and then you simply slide your sleeping bag inside.

Durable and protective:

• The bowl-shaped floor is made of 40-denier ripstop nylon with a PU coating. The outer fabric, 40-denier ripstop nylon, is a membrane with a waterproof rating of 20,000 mm and breathability of 20,000 g/m²/24h.


• Protective hood + removable mosquito net at the opening.

A small support rod keeps the hood at a height of about 50 centimeters above your head. Depending on the weather, you can use two openings:

• waterproof door: for complete protection,


• mosquito net door: to sleep with your head “under the stars” and to optimize air circulation.
