Six Moon Designs Gatewood Cape

Six Moon Designs' Gatewood Cape poncho-tarp protects you from rain during the day while walking and at night. Whether in poncho or tarp mode, it offers total protection.

Unlike a traditional poncho, it does not have long slits on the sides. The arm openings and the dual-curseur zipper provide ventilation. Snaps are used to shorten the length of the fabric on its longest side, so as not to cause discomfort when walking.

Once mounted with a hiking stick or pole (sold separately), it offers the same protection as a closed tarp. The pole or stick is positioned pointing upwards and anchored in a removable mini harness. This one is easily dismountable with a set of colors. It ensures a better support of the tarp in the wind and makes the unit more resistant. The pyramidal design of the tarp easily eliminates rain, snow and wind. Depending on the weather conditions, it is possible to adjust the height of the canvas in relation to the ground to increase ventilation.

The Gatewood Cape is equipped with:

• Two flap openings for the arms to pass through, which become lateral ventilations.


• A hood with drawstring, which becomes a ceiling ventilation.


• A house with an integrated storage cover that can be transformed into an inside storage pocket.


• A removable ceiling harness.


• A guy rope
