Thermarest Vela Double 20F/-6C

The Vela Double 20F/-6C quilt by Thermarest is filled with a 650 cuin hydrophobic duck down certified RDS (Responsible Down Standard). It is recommended for use by two people, for a comfort temperature of up to 0°C. All around, an antifreeze padding prevents draughts. The bottom of the quilt is fitted with a footbox to keep your feet warm inside. Its Taffeta fabric is silky and very pleasant to the touch.

Snaps are located on the sides of the quilt. They can be attached to the mattress with the Mattress Loop Kit (sold separately). Each person has a small zipped pocket on the outside of the quilt. It comes with a storage cover and a carry bag.

The Vela Double 20F/-6C is designed to be used on its own or in a multi-layer system. You can combine it with a meat bag (bed sheet), a sleeping bag, a quilt... This provides a versatile sleeping system covering a wide range of temperatures. Ideal if you alternate between refuge and bivouac during a hike or if you go to destinations with different climates during a trip. For example, when combined with a Questar 20F/-6C (0°C comfort temperature) sleeping bag from Thermarest, you can achieve a comfort temperature of approximately -10°C.

To insulate yourself from the cold of the ground, it can be combined with an insulated double mattress (or two single mattresses) measuring maximum 104 cm at foot level, so that it can fit in the footbox.
