The Primus Ulti Stove is undoubtedly the most advanced and powerful stove on the market. Developed for use in extreme conditions, the most important thing to remember is that you can use it anywhere in the world, at any altitude or latitude, and in any weather conditions.

It's not “magic,” but Primus has put all its expertise into this 2-in-1 stove, which consists of a radiant burner with a remote fuel supply and an optimized cookset.

In fact, the burner generates 3000 watts, which is a great performance, but above all, it is the burner head that is unique, because it is radiant; that is to say, the flame (the heat) is distributed over the entire diameter. It is not “just” an open flame! It is a radiant flame, or more precisely, catalytic combustion, meaning that the fuel (gas) and air mix in the burner and burn in the presence of a catalyst material (a special metal alloy applied to a porous metal foam). The result is that the metal foam ignites under the effect of combustion and generates infrared radiation that increases the thermal energy. Ultimately, for us users, this means that it is possible to boil or melt snow, even in strong winds.

This device is not only efficient, but also reduces gas consumption.

In addition, Primus had the good idea of moving the fuel system away from the burner using a hose and allowing the cartridge to be turned upside down. The offset system, i.e. moving the cartridge away from the burner, makes the stove more stable (lower center of gravity) and improves safety: the valve is operated away from the heat source. Being able to turn the cartridge upside down allows for better gas mixing, which is particularly important at low temperatures: 4-season use.

The Ulti is equipped with a pressure regulator that improves the stove's efficiency. This regulator controls the pressure level to supply gas to the stove. The pressure at the stove outlet is stable and constant, even if the cartridge level drops and even if there are variations in temperature or altitude. This system improves performance and boiling speed.

The Primus Ulti Stove is a cooking system equipped with a hard anodized aluminum pot. It has the unique feature of being optimized: at the bottom of the pot, a heat distributor protects the “flame” from the wind and distributes the flame over the entire surface of the pot.

The pot has a foldable handle for safe storage, and when storing, you can slide the burner and a 100 g cartridge (not included) inside the pot.
