Salomon's Outside 65 Grip are Nordic Backcountry skis with narrow sidecuts that glide quickly over flat or slightly uneven terrain. Designed for off-trail use, they can also be used on groomed cross-country trails. The Outside 65 Grip can be an effective ally on long, arduous traverses of snow-covered plateaus. It's lightweight and features a posigrip sole with an effective anti-rebound system.
The Outside 65's construction provides good glide, good grip when needed, and good downhill and bank stability thanks to the metal edges.
Technically, Outside 65 Grip skis are made from a wood core with plastic reinforcements and a fiberglass shell. The spatula is made from recycled ABS and cork.
Salomon has chosen to make its Topsheet relatively transparent to reveal the wood-core structure. A notch in the spatula allows you to attach a pair of integral skins (sold separately).
