The Bigboy 2000 Outback Edition from Silky is a large folding saw that is very efficient for pruning. It has a long, slightly curved blade that allows you to saw far. The teeth allow a pulling cut requiring less effort from the user.
The curved shape facilitates the gesture and makes the cutting gesture pleasant. The curvature allows the teeth to bite easily into the wood and helps the blade to stay in the kerf.
On the blade, Silky has applied a black coating; a unique blend of nickel and tin that increases the life of the blade and provides excellent cutting performance. The dark, non-reflective color makes this saw particularly suitable for tactical operations.
The wood/plastic composite handle absorbs vibration and provides a comfortable grip. The feel of the handle is a bit harder than the rubber handle of the classic Bigboy, but offers more grip with greasy substances. After use and during transport, the blade folds back inside the handle.
The saw comes in a nylon carrying case with zipper.
