The opinion of Aventure Nordique
Silky's Pocketboy Outback Edition is made in Japan with quality materials. This special version was designed to meet the expectations of hunters and bushcrafters. It features a thick, rigid saw blade to which Silky has applied a black coating; a unique blend of nickel and tin that increases the life of the blade and provides excellent cutting performance. The dark, non-reflective color makes this saw particularly suitable for tactical operations.
The Pocketboy Outback Edition is a lightweight folding saw. Despite its compactness, this pruning saw is versatile and useful for all your outdoor activities: pruning in your garden, preparing a shelter, cutting for a campfire...
This small saw offers good performance while taking up very little space in your backpack or even in your pocket. It comes with a transparent hard case for secure transport. You can attach it to your belt.
The Silky Pocketboy has a 170mm blade and a wood/plastic composite handle that absorbs vibrations and offers a comfortable grip. The feel of the handle is a bit harder than the rubber handle of the classic Pocketboy, but offers more grip with greasy substances. When not in use, the blade folds inside the handle.
When in use, it must be unfolded and unlocked with the lever. The lever allows 2 different positions of the blade.
The hole in the handle allows you to attach it to a cord or a carabiner.
