Nite Ize CamJam XT Aluminum Cord Tightener - With Coyote Paracord

The CamJam XT Aluminium Cord Tightener from Nite ize is a simple system for tightening cord. It combines a carabiner with a cam mechanism. Made of cast aluminium, it can withstand a load of 127 kilograms or 45 kilograms with the 3 metres of paracord supplied. This model is suitable for ropes with a diameter of 2 to 5 millimetres.

Whether you want to connect loads together (logs, for example) or stretch a rope for anchoring, it's child's play with CamJam. No more need for bungee cords or knowing a whole range of knots.

When using without a fixed point, make a loop at the end of your rope and pass it through the carabiner part of the Camjam, then connect the elements together and pass the other end of the rope through the cam mechanism and pull until it is sufficiently taut.

When using with a fixed anchor point (to tension a tarpaulin, for example), pass the carabiner through the eyelet on the tarpaulin, loop the rope around a branch and then through the cam mechanism, and pull until the correct tension is achieved.

In both cases, the rope can be released with a simple movement of the thumb.
