The Meteor Lite 3000-3 from Sierra Designs is a lighter version of the legendary Meteor. It can accommodate three people and weighs just 2.70 kg. Its light weight means it can be used by just two campers or anyone looking for a little extra space in their tent. Its structure, consisting of two main poles and a ceiling pole, provides plenty of space. For two people, it's like a cathedral!
It is designed with lightweight, improved materials to save weight. Its fully mesh interior promotes ventilation and thus limits condensation, which can occur when three people sleep in a tent. The Meteor Lite 3000-3 is suitable for summer hiking and can be used in three seasons. Its oversized doors allow easy access. Two internal mesh pockets are located at the head end.
In good weather, the front and rear of the flysheet can be rolled up to enjoy the view and the stars. This also optimises ventilation when it is really hot. There is also an opening at the top of the tent to ventilate it when necessary.
The Meteor Lite 3000-3 is simple and easy to pitch. Just hook the inner tent onto the poles, then place the flysheet over it. All that's left to do is hammer in the pegs.
