The opinion of Aventure Nordique
The Baffin Control Max boots are very cold boots, protecting your feet down to -70°C. They are ready to face the worst weather conditions whether for leisure (expedition) or professional use. These boots dedicated to extreme conditions are well finished and durable. These Canadian boots have a waterproof full grain leather shell and a removable liner made of 8 insulating layers (wool/polyester between 2 layers of aluminum). This lining is warm, but facilitates the evacuation of perspiration thanks to the Hydromax layer which acts as a moisture regulation system.
The Control Max are equipped with :
- an embossed and insulating insole that reduces fatigue. The embossed footbed traps warm air under your feet.
- a polar rubber outsole (non-slip notching). Integrated Icepaw studs improve grip at contact points on the ice.
- an Arctic rubber shell allows the boots to remain flexible in the cold.
These boots are effective in temperatures as cold as -70°C during moderate intensity activities. These technical and lightweight boots are designed for expeditions.
