The opinion of Aventure Nordique

The Alfa Outback BC 3.0 is a Nordic backcountry skiboot compatible with the NNN BC binding standard. This Backcountry model features a high gaiter that limits snow ingress and helps retain heat during winter outings.

The closure system combines two complementary elements:

a quick-release lace for the lower part of the foot,

a Velcro strap on the upper part to adjust the gaiter and ensure a secure fit.

Inside, the Gore-Tex membrane ensures waterproofing while remaining breathable, while Solarcore insulation helps maintain warmth. The outer construction combines Putek and Dyneema materials to improve abrasion resistance and durability over time. The gaiter closes with a zipper complemented by Velcro for a precise fit.

This shoe is also equipped with the Recco rescue system, which is useful in snowy environments.

With this model, Alfa offers a technical and relatively lightweight shoe that provides good foot support and effective protection for demanding Nordic activities. The materials used are the result of recent technologies, designed for regular use in winter conditions.

Then place the foot (barefoot or with a thin sock) on the paper with the heel against the wall. It is important to stand upright when measuring. Put a line in front of the longest toe and measure with a ruler. Measure both feet; it is not uncommon for one foot to be larger than the other. Round up to the nearest integer to find your size. These methods act as supervisors. We recommend that you always try on the shoes to find the perfect boot and fit as no two feet are alike.
