The opinion of Aventure Nordique

The Alfa Polar A/P/S are warm, rugged boots that offer excellent protection against cold, snow and moisture. They are designed to be used with Polar Liner liner boots.

These Nordic Backcountry Ski-boots have a NNN BC sole. These boots have been developed specifically for expeditions and long crossings in extremely cold conditions: crossing Greenland, exploration in Spitzbergen, polar travel, Arctic expedition...

These Alfa's are built to travel hundreds of kilometers. You don't have to conquer the poles to use the Polar APS; you could ski with them on a traverse of the Hardangervidda in Norway, an adventure into Finland or in Sweden. Your feet will be warm, dry and protected!

The Polar APS have a specially developed last to accommodate a "Polar Liner", or allow you to have room to slip in wool inner socks or if necessary "par-vapor" socks (VBL sold separately).

If you are supplementing these shoes with Polar Liner socks (sold separately), we recommend that you choose shoes that are 2 sizes larger than normal for use in extreme conditions.

Material	Exp Gaiter (BC): Integrated durable Cordura with additional reinforcement on the inside. Provides extra insulation under extreme conditions and protects against snow. Cordura: Cordura is used to increase the wear resistance of areas highly exposed to external stress. Kevlar seams: Kevlar reinforced seams. Snow Crust protection:Reinforcement around the complete lower part of the shoe to improve durability and increase the shoes life span. Toe Protection: Toe protection that provides extra durability and extends the shoe life. BC Sole: Rottefella BC sole for optimum stability, and thereby contributes to good control in rough terrain and under varying snow conditions. The sole has good insulation properties. Comfort I-board: Moisture absorbing insole that keeps your feet dry, warm and comfortable. Insulates against moisture and cold from the ground. Easy entry loops: Construction that makes it easier to put on the shoe. Ykk Zipper: Alfa uses YKK zippers.
Additional information	The boots are developed especially for use with liner. We recommend buying the boot 2 sizes larger than normal for use with liner during extreme conditions. Liners are purchased separately and are available in accessories.
