The opinion of Aventure Nordique
The Irvis Hybrid from Petzl are a pair of 10-point crampons designed for hiking and mountaineering on snow and ice. They provide a very good grip even on hard snow, and since the front of the foot is made of steel, they are adapted to glacier environments.
This steel/aluminum mix offers a good performance/technology/weight ratio. The front is made of steel to have solid tips, which can be used on ice. The rear is made of aluminum to bring lightness. The connection between the two parts is made by a highly resistant Cord-Tex cord in Dyneema (high density polyethylene). This allows you to adjust the size of the cleats to your shoes. This flexible connection also allows you to obtain an optimum compactness for storage in their protective cover.
They have a double binding system, for use with all types of hiking, mountaineering or ski touring boots, with or without overhang. Adjustment is simple and does not require any tools. The crampons come with anti-snow plates to prevent kicking.
