Traverse 78 Crown/Skin is the replacement for the legendary Fischer S-Bound 78. The sidecut of the skis backcountry remained almost the same with 78/61/69 mm. I am interested in the Fischer Traverse 78 Crown/skin Xtralite. My weight with clothing/gear will be between 84-86 kg (185-194 lbs), therefore I am having difficulty deciding between 186 vs 196 cm ski length (as I fall somewhere in the middle). Ideally I want as light and manoeuvrable a ski as possible, however concerned that the shorter 186cm ski may have a 'sluggish' glide (especially as it softens over the years). The 196 may be faster for me, but more cumbersome, and also concerned if I loose grip in the kick zone because I would be at the lighter end? Wondering if you have perspectives that may help my choice? Thank you, Dave
