Matador Freerain22 Waterproof Packable Backpack

The Freerain22 Waterproof Packable Backpack from American brand Matador is ultra-light and compressible.

As it has no frame, it can be folded in on itself and stored in a small net provided for this purpose. It has the volume of a grapefruit and fits easily into a suitcase.

Unfolded, it is highly technical and weatherproof thanks to its waterproof zips, roll-up closure and sealed seams. The main fabric is 50 denier nylon and the bottom of the bag is 70 denier nylon. PU-treated, the bag is waterproof but not immersion-resistant.

The Freerain22 has a large pocket with full top access. Closed by a zip and rolled up, the contents stay dry. On the front, there's a small zipped pocket for storing smaller items.

On the outside there are two side nets large enough for a water bottle and compression straps on the top. There are two ice axe/pole holders on the front.

The mesh shoulder straps are breathable, adjustable and fitted with a chest belt. A hypalon loop allows you to attach a carabiner if you want to hang a water bottle.
