Nortent Gamme 4 Tent

The 4 Tent range from Norwegian manufacturer Nortent is a 4-season expedition tent that sleeps 4 people (or even 5 squeezed together) and a woodstove, or 2 people with the use of the bedroom. The inner chamber and groundsheet are sold separately. This spacious dome-shaped tent is inspired by the cabins of the Sami, the indigenous people of Lapland. It is 1.60 metres high and has a diameter of 3.15 metres.

Developed by Nortent, the ARCX-N 400 fabric is strong, durable, lightweight and UV-resistant. Dyneema reinforcements are placed in the most exposed areas. The silnylon fabric is high-performance, with an exceptional weight/resistance/tightness/elasticity ratio. The silicone coating has been applied to both sides of the fabric. To make the seams perfectly waterproof, they need to be coated with SeamGrip +SIL.

The Gamme 4 Tent has 4 air vents at the top and 2 large ones at the bottom. This creates good air circulation, preventing condensation and allowing the use of a woodstove. The 2 doors, fitted with a mosquito net lining, are also good ways of adjusting the degree of ventilation.

It is self-supporting and resists wind and heavy snow. Its 5 aluminium poles are crossed at 7 points, making the whole structure very strong. This 4-season tent has snow skirts. It's quick and easy to erect, even by just one person in adverse conditions. The outer tent can be pitched first, followed by the inner chamber, to keep it dry when pitching in bad weather.
