Outdoor Research Alpine XT Bivy

The Outdoor Research Alpine XT Bivy is a bivy sack made from lightweight, durable fabric. The fabric combines durability, breathability, and waterproofing. This membrane protects you from moisture and rain while remaining breathable.

The advantage of the Alpine XT Bivy: it sets up quickly and provides excellent protection. It’s an attractive alternative to a tent or tarp. Setup is quick and easy (1 pole for the hood), and then you simply slide your sleeping bag inside.

Durable and protective: the bowl-shaped floor is made of 40-denier ripstop nylon with a PU coating. The outer fabric, a ripstop nylon, is an electrospun laminated membrane with a waterproof rating of 15,000 mm and breathability of 20,000 g/m²/24h.

It features a protective hood and a removable mosquito net at the opening. Depending on the weather, you can use it in the following modes:

• Rain cover mode: for complete protection


• Mosquito net mode: to sleep with your head “under the stars” and to optimize airflow

A small support rod keeps the hood at a height of approximately 50 centimeters above your head.
