Primus SIP Power Gas 450g

The Primus SIP Power is a threaded valve gas cartridge containing a European gas blend: 60% butane and 40% propane. This gas blend is ideal for 3 season use.

Primus SIP Power is a gas designed to reduce and limit its impact on the environment compared to a traditional gas cartridge. Indeed, Primus' policy in its SIP program is to limit the carbon footprint:

Reducing transportation in the manufacturing process
Sourcing of steel in Europe
Manufacturing and assembly of the cartridge in Europe
Fuel, and therefore gas, is sourced in Europe
For information, the majority of traditional cartridges are manufactured and filled in South Korea.

The gas is generated from fossil fuels, but Primus supports the biogas industry, which is made from food waste. In return, for every cartridge produced, Primus funds biogas that is used for other applications (district heating...) in Sweden.

Primus is making an effort towards a transition, limiting its impact, repatriating part of its production in Europe, supporting a sector and hopes one day to be able to eliminate fossil fuels when using camping and outdoor stoves.

Like all gas cartridges with threaded valve, after use, it can be unscrewed from the stove in complete safety, thanks to its self-sealing system (non-return valve), in compliance with the EN417 standard. The steel of the gas cartridges can be recycled.
