The opinion of Aventure Nordique
The Ember 7C/45F from Sea To Summit is a quilt, i.e. a sleeping bag open at the back. It's designed to be wrapped around your mattress, which provides insulation at ground level. In Regular size, it's filled with 200 grams of 850 cuin European goose down, with Ultra Dry Down treatment for greater resistance in wet conditions. It weighs 423 grams and has a comfort temperature of 11°C.
The Ember 7C/45F sleeping bag can be used in several ways:
- As a quilt attached to a mattress using the straps supplied.
- As a large comforter when fully unfolded.
- As a blanket wrapped around yourself for bivouacs.
- Attached to a Sea To Summit sleeping bag featuring the QuiltLock system, to increase the comfort temperature.
For such a low weight, the cover is made from a very fine 10-denier nylon fabric, with through seams and no hood. Straps are adjustable to fit all mattresses, and elastic cords close the quilt at the neck and feet.

Eco-responsible contribution | The Responsible Down Standard (RDS) label guarantees the protection of geese and ducks raised for the production of sleeping bags or down-filled down jackets. RDS filling means that it does not come from animals that have undergone cruel treatment, such as force-feeding or live-plucking. This label provides traceability to identify the down's origin. Bluesign Label certification guarantees the production of a safe, sustainable textile with the least possible impact on people and the environment. The aim of the Bluesign standard is to ensure responsible use of resources and manage the risks associated with handling chemicals throughout the production chain. It is an independent label that requires certification. |
