Sierra Designs Meteor Lite 3000-2

The Meteor Lite 3000-2 from Sierra Designs is a lighter version of the legendary Meteor. It has been designed with lighter, improved materials to reduce its weight. Its structure, consisting of two main poles and a ceiling pole, is self-supporting and offers a large volume. The Meteor Lite 3000-2 is really spacious.

The inner tent is made entirely of mesh for optimum weight savings. The mesh also promotes ventilation and thus limits condensation. The Meteor Lite 3000-2 is perfectly suited for summer hiking and, more broadly, for three-season use. The two doors are large, making it easy to get in and out of the tent. Inside, two mesh pockets at the head of the tent provide storage for small items.

The flysheet can be rolled up at the front, back or sides, above the inner tent. This is particularly useful for optimising ventilation in hot weather or for sleeping under the stars. There is also an opening at the top of the tent to provide ventilation when it rains.

It is very easy to set up. The poles are attached to the four corners of the inner canvas, then the sleeping area is simply clipped onto the frame. All that remains is to place the flysheet on top.
